propo//Poluted sense
The idea is to connect the Sonic Sense installation with the town environment.Prague is a very polluted city, and the experiences of hearing the traffic noise and inhaling the air polluted by the cars can sometimes be rather painful. So this implementation is all about the interaction of the sculpture with the negative aspects of our behaviour in a city environment. However, it can cause the Sonic Sense installation to either suffer or flourish, according to time of day and the scale of the pollution level. We would like to use gas and air quality sensors for processing and synthesis.
Like in other European cities, traffic is again identified as the main source of poor air quality leading to problems for PM10, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, benzene, benzo(a)pyren and ozone. Prague belongs between the most polluted areas in the Czech Republic.
